Kafeel Jahangir

Kafeel Jahangir (born 22 May 1971) is a former English cricketer. Jahangir was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born in Karachi, Sind.
Kafeel Jahangir attended Aldenham School between 1983-1989 and recorded the highest runs scored in a season, a record that remained for 25 years. His record number of wickets still remain today. In 1988 Kafeel Jahangir was an integral member of the England U17 team, being the leading run scorer in a test and one day series against Sri Lanka U17.
Jahangir made his debut for Hertfordshire in the 1993 MCCA Knockout Trophy against Berkshire. His debut for the county in the Minor Counties Championship came in the same season against Lincolnshire. From 1993 to 1999, he represented the county in 7 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches〔(Minor Counties Trophy Matches played by Kafeel Jahangir )〕 and from 1993 to 1997, he represented the county in 11 Minor Counties Championship matches.〔(Minor Counties Championship Matches played by Kafeel Jahangir )〕 He was selected for the Combined Minor Counties Team in 1995.
Jahangir also represented Hertfordshire in List-A cricket, where he made debut in List-A cricket against Gloucestershire in the 1993 NatWest Trophy. From 1993 to 2000, Jahangir played five List-A matches for the county, with his final List-A match coming against Cambridgeshire in the 2000 NatWest Trophy.〔(List A Matches played by Kafeel Jahangir )〕 In his five matches he scored 168 runs at a batting average of 28.00, with a high score of 92.〔(List-A Batting and Fielding For Each Team by Kafeel Jahangir )〕 With the ball, he took 5 wicket at a bowling average of 40.40, with best figures of 4/57.〔(List-A Bowling For Each Team by Kafeel Jahangir )〕 Jahangir also represented a combined Minor Counties team in a single match against Leicestershire in the 1995 Benson and Hedges Cup.
Post Cricket Kafeel Jahangir set up businesses in the IT/ Retail and Property sector which he oversees today.
